Apple continues the work on the next iOS update, and today, the company has given the go-ahead to another beta build of iOS 15.5.

As you probably know already if you’ve been following the news, iOS 15.5 isn’t necessarily a big update. In fact, it’s not even supposed to be, pretty much because everybody is now waiting for iOS 16 anyway.

With WWDC almost around the corner, all eyes are on the next major operating system version, as Apple is expected to provide us with a preview of what’s coming to our iPhones at its developer event.

But of course, iOS 16 wouldn’t launch for production devices earlier than September. In other words, while Apple will indeed announce the operating system update at WWDC and even provide a preview a preview of the new features, we won’t be able to install it on our devices until the fall of this year.

This is what the iOS 15 updates are so important.

Apple will use them to further refine the experience for iPhones out there, so expect even more iOS 15 updates to go live by September.

For the time being, the latest beta is iOS 15.5 beta 4, and at this point, it’s only available for developers. We don’t know what’s new just yet, but registered developers can download it OTA on their iPhones. The public beta will most likely follow in the coming days anyway.

Keep in mind, however, that this is a beta build, and it obviously comes with an increased likelihood of bugs. So if you’re not part of the testing program but want to be, you’d better know what you’re doing because otherwise, you could end up struggling with all kinds of problems that would significantly impact your experience with the iPhone.
