14 DAY TRIAL // Apple today celebrates the "World Emoji Day" by teasing iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch users with more than 70 new emoji characters coming this fall in the iOS 12, macOS Mojave, and watchOS 5 free software updates.
Designed in Unicode 11.0, the new emoji characters coming this fall to iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch devices include many more hair options like red hair, curly hair, gray hair, as well as a new emoji for bald people. According to Apple, new smiley faces, including party face, cold face, face with hearts, and a pleading face will be available as well for the Messages app.
There will also be new characters for symbols and sports to enhance your expression when messaging people, and it looks like Apple also plans to grow the list of animals and foods represented by emoji characters sometime later this year with new kangaroo, parrot, peacock, lobster, mango, cupcake, moon cake, and lettuce emoji you can see in the image gallery below, courtesy of Apple.
iOS, macOS, and watchOS offer users thousands of emoji characters
Later this year, Apple will add numerous new emoji characters across several other emoji categories, including sports and symbols like an infinity symbol, a nazar amulet, a softball, and new superhero emoji. All these and much more will be included in the upcoming iOS 12, macOS Mojave 10.14, and watchOS 5 operating systems, which will launch this fall, probably in the second half of September.
Apple also reminded us that the current version of its iOS, macOS, and watchOS operating system offer thousands of emoji characters to iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch users. These including the usual and common emotive smiley faces, animals, food types, gender-neutral characters, mythical creatures, country flags, buildings, vehicles, as well as clothing options.
