The knockoff experts at Goophone have done it again, and this time they’ve even outdone themselves. The Chinese electronics company has managed to copy Apple’s iPhone design to great extent, and is selling an iPhone 5S imitation dubbed i5S.

It isn’t clear whether Apple will once again pull the “S” card this year but, in all fairness, it’s very likely to happen. And, just like last year, Goophone isn't waiting around for the Cupertino giant to deliver the goods before it can rip off the design of the handset and sell a knockoff.

The Chinese company is acting even faster than last year, by putting on sale a $99/€76 iPhone 5S imitation dubbed “i5S” which has the following specs (from the YouTube description).

- 4-inch Retina-display (854x480 pixels) - 1GHz MTK MT6577 dual-core processor, 512MB RAM - 3G support (GSM 850/900/1800/1900 & WCDMA 850/2100 MHz) - 5MP back camera; 1.3MP front camera - Runs Android 4.1.2 OS Jelly Bean

The $99 price tag is an introductory offer. The device will soon cost $149 (€114).
