iOnRoad has just updated its free version of Augmented Driving application for Android devices. The application is meant to improve safety while driving using the smartphone’s native camera, GPS and sensors to detect vehicles in front.

The latest version of iOnRoad Augmented Driving Lite comes with a new feature called black-box, which records video while driving. This feature is only available for devices powered by Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and up.

The update also improves the off-road warnings and the night vision feature. Last but not least, developers confirmed the update fixes shared location link in Car Locator.

iOnRoad Augmented Driving Lite 1.3.1 is now available as a free download via Google Play store and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.2 and up.
