Apple is reportedly about to release a third beta of iOS 7, the latest version of the company’s mobile operating system powering iPhones, iPads and iPod touch players.
Trusted sources are telling BGR that “iOS 7 beta 3 is currently scheduled to be made available to carriers for testing on July 8th.”
If the claim holds water, that means Apple is seeding a new test build of iOS 7 once every two weeks. The public release of the software is scheduled for fall 2013.
Apple developers are currently testing iOS 7 beta 2, the first build to add native iPad support in addition to iPhone and iPod touch compatibility.
iOS 7 is a complete departure from previous versions of the operating system, both aesthetically and under the hood. The software will most likely be a free download for everyone, as always.
