PlayStation kind of spoiled racing fans in the last couple of months. After offering Need for Speed Heat to all PlayStation Plus members last month, the Japanese entertainment company announced today Hot Wheels Unleashed will be coming to its subscription service in October.

Regardless of type of subscription tier you’re paying for – PlayStation Plus Essential, Extra or Premium, you’ll be able to add Hot Wheels Unleashed to your library for free. It’s important to mention though that PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium free games for October will be announced later on.

Apart from Hot Wheels Unleashed, which will be available on both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 consoles, Sony revealed two other games that will be joining PS Plus in October: Injustice 2 and Superhot.

However, both Injustice 2 and Superhot games will only have their PS4 versions joining PS Plus next month. Of course, you’ll be able to play them on your PlayStation 5, but the games won’t benefit from any enhancements that the current gen console typically provides.

None of these games need any presentation considering that they’ve been released quite a while ago, with the exception of Hot Wheels Unleashed which is rather a new title. Despite of that, the name of the racing game is quite self-explanatory: you collect, build and race in an arcade sim based on the Hot Wheels universe.

On the other hand, Injustice 2 is a fighting game set in the DC Universe from the creators of Mortal Kombat. It has both a story-driven single player campaign and multiplayer (locally and online). Superhot is a FPF (first-person shooter) that allows players to slow time to respond appropriately to the enemy’s moves.

Keep in mind that you’ll have to wait until October 4 to add these three games to your library. Also, Hot Wheels Unleashed, Injustice 2, and Superhot will only be available for free until October 31, so don’t forget to add them to your PS Plus collection by the end of the next month.

Speaking of which, PlayStation Plus members still have until October 3 to add Need for Speed Heat, Granblu Fantasy: Versus and Toem to their library, so if you haven’t done that yet, this is your friendly reminder to get these games while they’re free.
