And obviously, it’s not yet up for grabs for iPhone users

Believe it or not, but there are lots of iPhone users out there interested in jailbreaking their devices, simply because living in Apple’s walled garden is sometimes harder than they think.

And while jailbreaking isn’t as easy as before, methods to unlock the iPhone occasionally make the rounds, albeit they typically target older versions of iOS.

This is one of the reasons some users delay the update to the newest releases of the operating system, as they hope someone would publish a jailbreak that would let them unleash the full power of the iPhone and get access to more apps and customization options.

This time, however, the jailbreak that’s making the rounds concerns iOS 13, the version that Apple is projected to release in September. The first beta of this version was published earlier this month after the WWDC conference.

iOS 13 jailbreak

Developer @iBSparkes published a photo of what appears to be a jailbroken iPhone 8 running iOS 13 beta and Cydia. Needless to say, this isn’t a public jailbreak, but only a teaser for the time being, but even so, it gives hope that it would actually be able to unlock iOS 13 when it launches later this year.

Jailbreaking an iOS version in its early days is certainly surprising, albeit it’s worth knowing that there’s a high chance that Apple patches the exploit in the operating system before a more advanced development stage is reached. In other words, the jailbreak method, which might never go public, could be blocked before iOS 13 makes its way to production devices.

But on the other hand, developers still looking for holes in iOS gives hope that more jailbreaks could be released, even after Apple rolls out iOS 13. Time will tell if this is the case, but for the time being, you can just be happy that the days of jailbreaking iPhones aren’t over yet.
