The Google Chrome web browser is celebrating its 10th anniversary this week, and Google released a new stable version for Linux, Windows, and Mac platforms earlier this week, along with the Android and iOS counterparts.

On all supported platforms, Google Chrome 69 ships with a brand-new, cleaner, and more modern design with rounded tabs and favicon support to easily spot your favorite sites. Chrome 69 also uses a new color palette, as well as a revamped search bar with support for so-called smart answers.

What's new in Chrome 69 for Android and iOS

For Android users, Chrome 69 also extends the built-in password generator to work on more websites and enables more secure mobile payments via third-party payment apps. Additionally, it introduces the usual stability and performance improvements needed to enrich your mobile browsing experience.

For iOS users, Chrome 69 adds a new bottom toolbar that makes it easier for iPhone and iPad users to access frequently used functions like tabs, menu, search, and back function. The new bottom toolbar comes with shortcuts and touch gestures, which can be discovered by pressing and holding different buttons or swiping on the toolbar.

Furthermore, Chrome 69 for iOS introduces a new tab grid that offers bigger previews of your tabs, including those opened on other devices. Users will be able to re-order the tabs in the new tab grid using drag and drop. Also, iOS users can now more easily access features like Reading Lists and Bookmarks on the New Tab Page.

Last but not least, Chrome 69 promises to securely sync the credit cards you enter on your device to your Google Pay account so you can easily access and use them on your other devices, and finally enables 3D Touch shortcuts for iPhone 6s or later devices, which can be accessed by firmly pressing on the Chrome app icon.

Google Chrome 69 for Android and iOS are rolling out right now to all Android devices, as well as on iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch devices running iOS 10.0 or later. You can update your installations by downloading Chrome 69 for Android from Google Play and Chrome 69 for iOS from Apple's App Store.
