The new iPhone lineup is expected in September

Apple is projected to take the wraps off the new-generation iPhone in September, as the company wants to avoid all possible delays this time and launch all devices according to the typical schedule.

This obviously means that the entire supply chain must align with the standard production calendar, and according to a report, Foxconn is now hiring new workers specifically for the manufacturing of the iPhone 13.

In other words, Foxconn is now getting ready to begin the production of the upcoming Apple smartphone, with the company offering bonuses of up to $1,158 to employees who work for 90 days.

This is because Apple is pushing hard to secure the necessary inventory before the iPhone 13 sees the daylight, all in an attempt to prevent the shortage that the company had to deal with last year.

The 2020 struggle

2020 was a challenging year, not only for Apple but also for its suppliers, as the company was forced to push back the launch of the iPhone 12 due to problems encountered by its partners, in turn, caused by the global health issue.

As a result, the iPhone 12 lineup eventually hit the shelves in October and November, but according to people familiar with the matter, Apple wants to return to the typical schedule with the unveiling of this year’s generation.

So all four iPhone models projected to go live this year will be announced in September and will then go on sale later the same month if everything goes according to the plan. The iPhone 13 will include upgrades for all four iPhone 12 models, including for the mini, despite rumors that this particular version could get the ax. 2021, however, will be the last year for the 5.4-inch iPhone, with Apple to then replace it with a new 6.1-inch device.
