Sales of the iPhone 12 have so far been pretty strong, with the new series eventually helping Apple surpass Samsung and become the world’s number one phone maker.

But according to Foxconn, the sales of the new Apple smartphones wouldn’t slow down throughout the year, as the company expects the iPhone 12 to continue to sell in double-digit million units.

Apple is the company that generated the biggest revenue for Foxconn, and needless to say, iPhone 12 had a major contribution overall.

New iPhones coming in September

Earlier this year, it’s been rumored the iPhone 12 mini was the only model in Apple’s lineup that failed to meet the expectations, so the Cupertino-based tech giant quickly adjusted the production to build fewer units. Instead, Apple ordered more iPhone 12 Pro models from its suppliers, as demand for its Pro iPhones was pretty strong.

This led many to believe Apple could even abandon the iPhone mini for the iPhone 13 lineup, with the upcoming series to include only the standard iPhone, the Pro, and the Pro Max.

But as it turns out, the Cupertino-based tech giant doesn’t want to give up on the mini so fast, so the iPhone 13 generation would come with the same four-model lineup as its predecessor. The mini will therefore stay around for one more year, though in the long term, it’ll be interesting to see if it remains a part of Apple’s device lineup.

On the other hand, people close to the matter said the new iPhone lineup would almost certainly be announced in September as per Apple’s typical release calendar.

Sales would kick off later the same month, as the company wants to prevent any possible delay that would eventually have an impact on its release calendar for the iPhone.
