Fitbit has just launched a new device called Luxe and whose purpose is to represent a fashion-oriented choice for those who want to keep an eye on their fitness and wellness.

Fitbit Luxe is an activity tracker, not a smartwatch, but it features a touch-capable display with support for notifications and everything else.

But on the other hand, it’s pretty clear the device was built with tracking in mind, as it offers heart rate monitoring SpO2 tracking, swim support, and several other monitoring features that are already available on the other Fitbit devices currently on the market.

With a $150 price tag, the device is also available with a series of special-edition accessories, including bands that you can purchase from the company.

Already available for preoder

And Fitbit says it has spent a lot of time trying to make the Luxe feel as exquisite as possible, especially because what it wanted from the very beginning is to obtain a jewelry-like look.

“Fitbit applied a modern take on traditional jewelry-making techniques using an innovative design process called metal injection molding to create Luxe’s stainless steel case, providing the warmth expected of handcrafted jewelry, all while delivering a level of precision needed to enable its advanced sensor technology. The result is one of Fitbit’s most fashionable and comfortable devices yet, designed for a diverse range of wrist sizes and skin tones for 24/7 wear. To produce the high polish synonymous with jewelry, Fitbit used a metal vaporizing technique on the soft gold and platinum finishes to provide a truly premium look and feel,” the company says.

The Luxe is already available for pre-order, but Fitbit says the shipping will kick off in the spring. On the other hand, if you want the gorjana for Fitbit Luxe Special Edition, this one is available for $199.95, once again with the shipping to kick off in the spring.
