Microsoft is getting ready to open the doors of its first European flagship store in London, the United Kingdom, so the company has started hiring staff in a wide variety of departments.

The software giant has posted job ads on its Microsoft Careers website, with several available positions, including cloud technical experts, visual merchandising managers, in-store IT technical support engineers, and stock control specialists.

You can see the full list of job opportunities at the Microsoft flagship store in London on this page.

Microsoft doesn’t provide any information as to when the store is projected to open its doors to customers, but as per MSPU, the location has a notice indicating the construction is due to come to an end in April 2019. This means there’s a chance the store will open sometime this year, most likely a couple of months after the final touches are given.

Hiring event next month

“Microsoft Store is the first and best place to experience all that’s possible with Microsoft. At the London flagship Microsoft Store we will create and cultivate meaningful connections with customers, one at a time,” Microsoft says on the linked page.

“We help our customers achieve more and welcome consumers, small businesses, students, teachers, parents, and gamers to succeed with technology.  If you want to develop lifelong skills and take pride in world-class customer service, a career at the London flagship Microsoft Store could be the place for you!”

Additionally, Microsoft will also be holding a Microsoft Store hiring event in London in February, and this is another sign that the opening of the store is approaching.

Microsoft decided to open a flagship store in the United Kingdom nearly a decade ago, and it is certainly interesting to see that plans in this regard haven’t changed much given the Brexit vote. An official announcement on the opening of the store is expected in the spring.
