Windows 10 May 2019 Update (version 1903) is now available for download from Windows Update and Media Creation Tool, but Microsoft has also released new ISOs that let users start from scratch.

The official Windows 10 page has been updated to serve May 2019 Update ISO images as well, in addition to the old ISOs for Windows 10 October 2018 Update.

You can download both the Home and Pro SKUs for 32-bit and 64-bit versions, and Microsoft offers a wide range of supported languages for each ISO.

You can learn here how to download Windows 10 ISOs directly from Microsoft.

Windows 10 ISO images allow users to clean-install the operating system, which for many home users is the preferred choice, especially because the process is faster and helps prevent other issues that could otherwise hit their devices when upgrading from an older release.

Other download options

On the other hand, should you decide to install Windows 10 May 2019 Update using an ISO, you should know that your device could be prone to compatibility bugs that would otherwise block the upgrade on Windows Update.

Microsoft has started a gradual rollout for Windows 10 May 2019 Update on Windows Update, and only devices that are fully compatible are getting it as part of this first wave. Meanwhile, the company is working on resolving several issues in the update before more devices receive it.

Microsoft also allows users to upgrade their devices and create installation media using the Media Creation Tool. This application provides access to the same ISO images, albeit in a more straightforward manner, as it automates the process of creating an USB drive that can then be used for upgrading other devices to the May 2019 Update.
