Switch owners, rejoice! Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition has finally landed on Nintendo's platform and the game brings all the good stuff that is known for and then some. The game is now available for digital download via Nintendo Store for just $20, a great price for what it has to offer.

The Switch version of Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition introduces the brand new Free Style Mode, a great addition to the game that enables players to instantly switch between combat styles and weapons on the fly. That way you can unleash some truly SSS combos that the series is well-known about.

In total, there are six combat styles in the game, four of which are available to start and two more which are unlocked as players progress. All six can be switched in between at any time during gameplay. But there's more, as the game lets players quickly select unlocked weapons using a radial menu, in addition to the standard weapon cycling system.

Furthermore, Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition allows players to choose to cut a path through each floor of the “Bloody Palace” survival mode in local co-op right after creating a save file. Yes, the game includes the option to play as Dante’s twin brother, Vergil, as well as all 9,999 floors of the “Bloody Palace,” survival mode.

In Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition players will get more information about the origins of the infamous demon hunter Dante’s “Devil May Cry” shop, and long-running rivalry with his twin brother Vergil.

Chronologically, Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition serves as a prequel for the series, unfolding years before the original Devil May Cry. The origin story in the game explores the journey leading up to and culminating in Dante’s face-off against his twin brother, Vergil.
