Since Bungie parted ways with Activision Blizzard, Destiny 2 is just about everywhere you can think of. You can play it on PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Google Stadia, and even NVIDIA GeForce Now if you don't own a capable gaming computer.

During Microsoft's Xbox Games Showcase, Bungie confirmed that it has partnered with the Redmond-based company to bring Destiny 2 to Xbox Game Pass subscribers. Starting this September, Xbox Game Pass subscribers will get access to all current Destiny 2 expansions.

Also, Bungie announced that when the standard edition of Destiny 2: Beyond Light will be released, Xbox Game Pass subscribers will get access to that too. Moreover, those who pay extra to become Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers will be able to play Destiny 2 while on the go on their smartphones via Project xCloud.

But that's not all! Bungie revealed that Destiny 2 will join Microsoft's list of titles that are optimized for Xbox Series X, allowing players to experience that game in 4K at 60 frames per second. On top of that, Destiny 2 will support cross-generation play and Smart Delivery, which means that if you're getting the game on Xbox One, you'll receive a free upgrade to the Xbox Series X version if you buy the new console.

Bungie recently pushed back the launch of Destiny 2: Beyond Light to November 10, probably to allow players on Xbox Game Pass to prepare their characters for the new content. Speaking of new content, Destiny 2: Beyond Light adds new weapons, gear, and activities, as well as a brand-new location – Europa, an icy moon of Jupiter.

Also, Destiny 2: Beyond Light brings players a new subclass – Stasis, the first new elemental power since the original Destiny, along with a new raid called Deep Stone Crypt.
