Apple isn’t immune to the chip shortage happening all over the world, and this means whoever wants to buy an iPhone 13 today has to wait not one or two days but up to 26 if they live in the United States and want a Pro model.

This is what JP Morgan lead analyst Samik Chatterjee has recently seen in a note to investors obtained by AI, as the delivery estimates for the iPhone 13 are still much higher than for the iPhone 12 a year ago.

The United States and China seem to be hit the hardest by these problems.

For example, if you live in the United States and want to get an iPhone 13, your best option is to get the mini because the fastest you can receive it is 10 days. The standard model can arrive at your door 11 days, while the Pro models come with a delivery estimate of no less than 28 days.

The shortage will continue

The same in China, which accounts for approximately 15 percent of all orders for the new iPhone 13.

Chinese customers who order the iPhone 13 mini receive the device in 9 days, while those who go for the standard iPhone 13 need to wait up to 17 days. It’s getting worse when it comes to a Pro model, as these are only delivered in approximately 34 days.

“Despite the moderation in lead times as supply improves, it remains stable in the US - indicating solid demand trends, and it remains the most elevated on a geographic basis in China - indicating much higher than anticipated demand, which bodes well for interest/demand for the iPhone 13 series in aggregate globally relative to investor expectations for a softer volume cycle than the iPhone 12 series,” Chatterjee has been quoted as saying.

Industry analysts believe Apple will manage to align the production with the demand in the second quarter of the next year.
