Samsung’s Galaxy S10 lineup will also include a 5G model, and judging from all the leaks that happened lately, this particular configuration could be the best of the best, not only in the South Koreans’ flagship product lineup, but also on the market.

A new report today reveals that 5GB Galaxy S10 could come with no less than 256 GB base storage. This means an upgraded model could be offered with 512GB storage.

Speculation that made the rounds last year indicated that Samsung was exploring a third option with 1TB storage, but it’s not clear at this point if this configuration has received the green light or not.

In addition to the 256 GB of storage by default, the 5G version of the Samsung Galaxy S10 could also sport at least 8GB RAM, according to the same report.

High specs, high price

The other Samsung Galaxy S10 versions launching next month might be offered with at least 128GB of storage and 6GB RAM.

On the other hand, it’s important to keep in mind that such high specifications come at a price, and the 5G Galaxy S10 could end up costing no less than $1,700. That’s a new price point that could backfire for Samsung, as it did in the case of Apple when the Cupertino-based rival launched the iPhone XS Max last year and topping at $1,449.

Most likely, Samsung will partner with a series of carriers to offer the 5G S10, especially because the device would only work in specific networks. Full details aren’t available right now, but we should expect this model to become available at one US mobile carrier at least.

The S10 will be announced on February 20 at Samsung’s Unpacked event, while shipping is expected to kick off in early March. The 5G version, however, will probably land at a later time, possibly in late March.
