Monster Hunter fans rejoice, as Capcom has just announced during its digital event Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin's release date. After revealing the sequel to Monster Hunter Stories last year, the Japanese developer confirmed earlier today that Wings of Ruins will arrive on July 9. Fans of the franchise will be able to buy this one in either physical or digital form.

Apart from revealing the launch date of the game, Capcom released a new trailer for Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin, which sets the stage for the epic journey with Razewing Rathalos, announces the return of the self-proclaimed Felyne hero Navirou, and teases cooperative multiplayer quests.

Players who'd like a little bit more than just a standard experience will be offered the choice of getting the Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin Deluxe Edition, which includes Razewing layered armor sets and a Nergigante-inspired hairstyle for players, the Kuan Coat outfit for Wyverian companion Ena, two new outfits for Navirou, and two sticker sets depicting the various companions players will encounter through their journey.

But that's not all! Players who preorder Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin on PC or Nintendo Switch will receive the Kamura maiden outfit for Ena, while players on Nintendo Switch will be able to unlock three different sets of layered armor and daily bonuses using the new Ena, Razewing Ratha and Tsukino amiibo figures that will be available for purchase at launch.

Last but not least, players with Monster Hunter Rise save data will be able to unlock the Kamura Garb layered armor for their character. For those who don't know, Monster Hunter Rise is set for release on PC and Nintendo Switch on March 26, but a second demo will be available on March 12 ahead of the game's launch.
