Borderlands 3 fans who are waiting for new content to arrive will probably be disappointed to hear they'll have to wait a while longer. Gearbox has just announced that Borderlands 3 Director's Cut add-on has been delayed due to the bad weather that impacted Texas in February.

According to developers, the next piece of content for Borderlands 3 will arrive on April 8, so fans of the series will wait a bit less than a month for new adventures in the Borderlands universe. You can find below the official statement released by Gearbox this week:

Due to challenges arising from the severe weather that impacted Texas last month, the Director’s Cut add-on will now launch on April 8. Thankfully, all of our team members and their families are safe and healthy, but our work on Director’s Cut was unavoidably disrupted and we’ve ultimately decided to shift the release date to ensure we deliver the best possible experience. We appreciate your understanding, and we’re excited for you to play Director’s Cut when it releases next month.”

As far as the contents of the new DLC go, Director's Cut, the second half of Season Pass 2, brings a colossal raid boss, themed items, as well as a new mysteries to unravel. Hemovorous the Invincible is a massive Varkid boss who drops some of the best loot in the game.

Players who have already completed the main story campaign and own Director's Cut will be able to jump right into the action and try and take on Hemovorous. However, you and your group will have to come up with 500 Eridium to open the door to the boss.

Apparently, this raid boss should offer players the greatest end-game challenge they can find, especially since Hemovourous's strength scales with both your character level beyond 35 and your active Mayhem Mode level.

Furthermore, Director's Cut includes a bounty of behind-the-scenes content from the making of Borderlands 3, such as a gallery full of concept art, storyboards, lost maps, and footage from throughout the game's development.

Last but not least, the upcoming DLC brings the so-called Vault Cards, which are challenges-based progression tacks that will unlock a host of themed cosmetics plus some very powerful gear that scales to each player's level. The first of the three Vault Cards launches as part of Director's Cut, while the other two are scheduled to release by the end of 2021.
