Good news for Windows Phone and Android gamers, as one of the most popular car racing games developed by Gameloft, Asphalt 8: Airborne, has just received a major update.

This is the same update that Gameloft delivered with their iOS game about a month ago, which means Android and Windows Phone users had to wait a few more weeks in order to benefit from the new content.

According to the official changelog, the latest update for Asphalt 8: Airborne contains new cars, new decals and “car mastery.”

But first things first. Gameloft confirms that the newest version of the game contains 8 new cars, including the McLaren P1 GTR, Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X, and McLaren 675LT.

If you think Asphalt 8: Airborne does not feature enough customization options, then you will be pleased to know that Gameloft added new ones in the form of decals.

More customization options and winning possibilities

Last but not least, players will be able to engage in a series of over 1,500 special challenges that will allow them to win exclusive and iconic cars, thanks to the newly introduced “car mastery.”

The update has been delivered to both Android and Windows Phone platforms at the same time, so you can go ahead and update the game right now.

If you don't have the title yet, you can now download Asphalt 8: Airborne for Windows Phone for free via Windows Phone Store. It should be fully compatible with all devices running Windows Phone 8 and up.

For Android users, the game can be downloaded via Google Play store for free. It should run smoothly on all devices powered by Android 4.0 and up.

The iOS version of the game received the same update about a month ago, so you can download Asphalt 8: Airborne for free through App Store. The game should be fully compatible with all devices powered by iOS 6.1.6 or later.
