Noel Biderman, Ashley Madison's CEO during the recent hacking scandal, has stepped down in a mutual agreement with Avid Live Media, the company that owns and runs the adult dating website.

Biderman, the self-proclaimed "King of Infidelity," who was the face of the company since its launch, managed to get out of the scandal right at the perfect time, Ashely Madison currently facing a slew of class action lawsuits from users who had their personal data spewed on the Internet.

The data breach, which took place during July, was perpetrated by a hacking group that calls itself the Impact Team.

The hackers gave Avid Media Life a chance to avoid the unpleasant situation they are in right now, by shutting down their service.

Since the website was obviously not closed down, the hackers released around 30GB of data in two separate instances, in something that John McAfee called "an inside job."

Many users had their personal data exposed online, but so did Noel Biderman, who saw the content of his internal Ashley Madison email leaked online.

These emails, besides offering information about how his CTO hacked a competitor, also revealed that Mr. Biderman was true to his title of "King of Infidelity" and had two affairs, one with a Toronto escort, and one with a woman working at a local spa.
