Apple’s new Apple Watch Series 7 is expected to launch next month, and according to people close to the matter, the device is likely to embrace a slightly improved design with flat edges similar to the iPhone 12.

In other words, the new watch will look more like a small iPhone 4 on the wrist, which let’s be honest, isn’t really such a bad idea.

Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman has now disclosed another feature coming to the next-generation Apple Watch: it’s Time to Run, a service previously available for Apple Fitness+ subscribers and which includes audio stories to listen to while working out.

While it’s not exactly clear how the whole thing is going to work, Apple will most likely allow the Apple Watch to stream Time to Run content via the iPhone and the Workout app, therefore offering a very straightforward experience through the app installed on the watch.

New watch launching next month

Apple’s September event will therefore bring us the new-generation Apple Watch, but this time, the Cupertino-based tech giant will also release a series of other major announcements regarding the iPhone 13 as well.

This is because Apple wants to return to the standard release calendar that it used prior to 2020 when the iPhone 12 was announced in October and two models hit the shelves in November. The global health crisis has several affected Apple suppliers, causing production slowdowns that eventually affected the launch of the new-generation iPhones as well.

This year, Apple has reportedly planned everything in advance, all in an attempt to prevent any delay that could be caused by production challenges. As a result, all iPhones would be announced next month, with the sales to kick off in late September as well, at least for part of the new models.
