It will, however, come with some design improvements

We’ve known for a while that Apple was working on a Pro version of the Apple Watch, and the closer we get to its launch, the more information makes its way to the web, making this device a very anticipated release.

As an upgraded version of the standard smartwatch, this Apple Watch Pro model is obviously expected to come with a series of improvements, and people familiar with the matter have discussed its design on several occasions already.

The opinions as to whether the Apple Watch Pro is going to be a massive overhaul of the signature Apple Watch design, however, are pretty mixed, and now Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman claims there’s no change the upcoming smartwatch would step away from the existing design.

In other words, all the rumors suggesting the Apple Watch Pro could feature a circular look are completely wrong, and the new smartwatch will still resemble the existing models.

No flat sides just yet

Worth knowing, however, is that the Apple Watch Pro will still sport a series of design improvements, starting with the larger display. Gurman says the screen will be some 7 percent larger, which most likely means that Apple will display additional information, possibly in the form of exclusive complications.

The watch will be made from a more durable titanium casing, but contrary to all the rumors, the flat edges are very unlikely. Originally, it was believed the Apple Watch would move to a design with flat sides, similar to modern iPhones, in 2021, but people close to the matter said Apple gave up on this plan at the very last minute.

In other words, Apple will stick with the current design even on the Pro model of the smartwatch, with only small refinements to be given to the rectangular shape that makes the Apple Watch stand out from the crowd pretty much everywhere.
