Apple released today the fourth beta of its upcoming iOS 12.1, watchOS 5.1, and tvOS 12.1 operating system updates to registered developers via the Apple Developer portal.

Coming just one week after the third beta release, the iOS 12.1 beta 4 (16B5084a), watchOS 5.1 beta 4 (16R5584a), and tvOS 12.1 beta 4 (16J5600a) releases are now available for download via OTA (Over-the-Air) updates, if you're using the previous betas, or as beta profiles from your Apple Developer account.

Those new to the iOS 12.1, watchOS 5.1, and tvOS 12.1 beta testing would have to use the beta profiles from the Downloads section on the Apple Developer website to download and install the beta 4 release on their devices dedicated to beta software development.

Apple also released today the third beta of the upcoming Xcode 10.1 IDE (Integrated Development Environment), which includes the latest beta iOS, macOS, watchOS, and tvOS SDKs (Software Development Kits). The new version is also available for download from the Apple Developer portal.

Public beta 4 of iOS 12.1, macOS Mojave 10.14.1, and tvOS 12.1

At the moment of writing, Apple didn't release a beta 4 version for its upcoming macOS Mojave 10.14.1 software update for Macs. However, we believe the macOS Mojave 10.14.1 beta 4 would be available for download and testing soon when Apple will release the fourth public beta of iOS 12.1, macOS Mojave 10.14.1, and tvOS 12.1.

With the iOS 12 release already running on more than half of supported devices, Apple plans to release the iOS 12.1 software update later this month, along with the macOS Mojave 10.14.1, watchOS 5.1, and tvOS 12.1 software updates. These releases will introduce over 70 new emoji and other features.
