Here we go again! Apple released today the first beta versions of its upcoming iOS 12.1, watchOS 5.1, and tvOS 12.1 operating system updates to registered developers through the Apple Developer portal.

Coming just one day after the final iOS 12, watchOS 5, and tvOS 12 releases, the iOS 12.1 beta (16B5059d), watchOS 5.1 beta (16R5559d), and tvOS 12.1 beta (16J5575c) development builds are now ready for testing via Apple's developer portal and are only accessible to registered developers with a paid and active developer account.

Application developers interested in trying out the new iOS 12.1, watchOS 5.1, and tvOS 12.1 betas can will have to first download the latest beta profile corresponding to the respective operating system on their devices dedicated to beta software development. Then, install the new beta versions via OTA (Over-the-Air) updates.

Additionally, Apple released the first Xcode 10.1 IDE beta to application developers who want to develop apps for Apple's iOS, macOS, watchOS, and tvOS ecosystems. The Xcode 10.1 beta (build number 10O23u) release includes the latest macOS, iOS, watchOS, and tvOS beta SDKs (Software Development Kits).

First macOS Mojave 10.14.1 beta coming soon

As Apple didn't yet release the final macOS 10.14 Mojave operating system to the masses, which will happen next week on September 24, the Cupertino, California-based company did not release a new beta version of the next macOS Mojave version, 10.14.1. So the first macOS Mojave 10.14.1 beta should be available next week too.

If you're curious to know what changes are included in the first iOS 12.1, watchOS 5.1, and tvOS 12.1 betas, we have some bad news for you because Apple didn't publish any release notes at the moment of writing, but we'll update this story as soon as we have more information available about the improvements and bug fixes.

Update: Apple has released the first public betas of iOS 12.1 and tvOS 12.1 to public beta testers. Also, we've discovered that iOS 12.1 brings the group FaceTime feature Apple promised earlier this year, as well as details about an upcoming iPad Pro 2018 with Face ID.
