Apple has seeded on Monday the first beta of its upcoming iOS 11.4, tvOS 11.4, and watchOS 4.3.1 operating system for supported iPhone, iPad, iPod touch devices, Apple TV, and Apple Watch devices, to registered developers.

Following on last week's stable iOS 11.3, macOS High Sierra 10.13.4, tvOS 11.3, and watchOS 4.3, the iOS 11.4 beta 1 (15F5037c), tvOS 11.4 beta 1 (15L5536c), and watchOS 4.3.1 beta 1 (15T5535b) releases are now available for registered iOS, tvOS and watchOS application developers with a paid and active Apple Developer account.

Developers can download the iOS 11.4, tvOS 11.4 or watchOS 4.3.1 beta profiles from the Downloads page in their Apple Developer account, and install this first beta build on their enrolled iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Apple TV or Apple Watch devices.

These new beta builds that Apple published today are accompanied by the first beta release of the Xcode 9.4 IDE (Integrated Development Environment), which includes the latest SDKs for iOS 11.4, macOS High Sierra 10.13.5, tvOS 11.4, and watchOS 4.3.1.

The iOS 11.4, macOS 10.13.5, tvOS 11.4, and watchOS 4.3.1 SDKs provides application developers with support for developing iOS, macOS, tvOS, and watchOS apps for iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, Macs, Apple TV, and Apple Watch devices using Xcode 9.4.

First macOS High Sierra 10.13.5 beta coming soon

Apple didn't seed the first beta of its upcoming macOS High Sierra 10.13.5 operating system at the moment of writing, but we expect it to be released either later today or tomorrow at the same time today's iOS 11.4, tvOS 11.4, and watchOS 4.3.1 betas arrived.

In the same manner, we expect Apple to release the first public beta builds of its iOS 11.4, macOS High Sierra 10.13.5 and tvOS 11.4 operating system for public beta testers in the coming days. For now, these new beta versions are only available for registered developers.

As for the new features and improvements coming to the iOS 11.4, macOS High Sierra 10.13.5, tvOS 11.4, and watchOS 4.3.1 software updates, it's too early to tell as Apple only published information about known issues in the release notes.

One thing we know so far is that Apple plans to implement the ClassKit framework in Xcode 9.4 and iOS 11.4 to help application developers implement new ways for teachers to discover specific learning activities in their educational apps.

Update 03/04/18: Apple released on Tuesday the first public beta of its iOS 11.4 and tvOS 11.4 operating systems. Public beta testers can now download the iOS 11 and tvOS 11 beta profiles from the Apple Beta Software Program website and install the new beta builds on their devices if they plan to test them.
