One of the biggest new features that Apple introduced in iOS 14 is support for widgets, something iPhone users have been drooling over for a long time.

But in addition to the standard widgets, Apple has also released a feature called Smart Stack, which groups multiple widgets under one roof and lets you swipe between them with just a gesture.

Of course, this is something Android users have been interested in as well, and while Google isn’t offering such capabilities at the OS level, this feature is now available as part of the latest version of Action Launcher.

If you’ve never heard of it, that’s quite a surprise given Action Launcher is one of the most popular launchers on Android.

So after installing the latest beta, you should be able to add a custom widget stack that works exactly like Apple’s very own design.

In the meantime, Apple praises its very own widget design, explaining how much customization power they bring to the iPhone home screen.

“The new widgets present timely information at a glance and can be pinned in different sizes on any Home Screen page. Users can create a Smart Stack of widgets, which uses on-device intelligence to surface the right widget based on time, location, and activity,” the company said.

“Home Screen pages can display widgets that are customized for work, travel, sports, entertainment, and other areas of interest. At the end of the Home Screen pages is the App Library, a new space that automatically organizes all of a user’s apps into one simple, easy-to-navigate view, and intelligently surfaces apps that may be helpful in the moment. Users can choose how many Home Screen pages to display and easily hide pages for quicker access to the App Library.”
