The company says it’s already looking into the whole thing

Apple’s iCloud Mail is experiencing an outage, as some users are struggling to connect to the service, with the company itself acknowledging the problem on its status page.

According to the Cupertino-based tech giant, the outage occurred today at 7:13 AM and is yet to be resolved, though the information in this regard is very limited.

However, judging from user posts online, the service sometimes fails to load, though it appears to be working correctly at first. The sporadic problems are more or less confirmed by Apple too, as the company says “users may be experiencing intermittent issues with this service.”

At this point, no other Apple services appear to be affected by the outage, and the company hasn’t provided any ETA as to when it expects iCloud Mail to be back up and running for everybody.

Only some users affected

But on the other hand, not all users seem to be affected.

iCloud Mail is working just properly here in Europe, so there’s a chance only a limited number of users in the United States are struggling to access the service. Apple too says that only “some users are affected,” though for the time being, it’s not yet clear how widespread the problem actually is.

With Apple not sharing any ETA as to when the service could return to normal operations, your only option is to just press the refresh button as often as possible, as we expect the company to restore iCloud Mail rather sooner than later.

All the other Apple services are working properly regardless of the user region, so the so-called intermittent issues are only hitting iCloud Mail, most likely only in the United States.

We’ll continue to keep an eye on the status page and post an update when everything is back up and running for everybody.
