Apple released today the third beta of the forthcoming iOS 12.1.1, macOS Mojave 10.14.2, and tvOS 12.1.1 software updates, along with the second beta of watchOS 5.1.2, to registered developers.

The iOS 12.1.1 beta 3 (16C5050a), macOS Mojave 10.14.2 beta 3 (18C48a), tvOS 12.1.1 beta 3 (16K5044a), and watchOS 5.1.2 beta 2 (16S5046a) releases are now rolling out to registered developers via OTA (Over-the-Air) updates, if they are running the previous beta and have the beta profile installed on their devices dedicated to beta software development.

The third beta builds of iOS 12.1.1, macOS Mojave 10.14.2, and tvOS 12.1.1 come just one week after the second beta versions released on November 7, 2018. If you're using the beta 2 releases, we recommend updating your devices enrolled into Apple's beta testing program to the beta 3 releases as soon as possible as it fixes more bugs.

As for the new features, Apple says that “iOS 12.1.1 and macOS 10.14.2 require that publicly-trusted Transport Layer Security (TLS) server authentication certificates issued after October 15, 2018 meet the Certificate Transparency policy to be evaluated as trusted on Apple platforms.“

Public beta 3 of iOS 12.1.1, macOS Mojave 10.14.2, and tvOS 12.1.1 coming soon

Apple will now prepare to release the third public beta builds of its upcoming iOS 12.1.1, macOS Mojave 10.14.2, and tvOS 12.1.1 software updates to public beta testers, allowing everyone who doesn’t have a paid Apple Developer subscription to install the latest betas on their devices if they want to send feedback.

Of course, we do not encourage anyone to install these beta versions on their devices as they might not work as intended because of unresolved or unknown bugs or other issues that may be fixed in the final release, which we expect to arrive early next month.

If you are using the previous beta versions of iOS 12.1.1, macOS Mojave 10.14.2, tvOS 12.1.1, and watchOS 5.1.2 on your devices, we recommend updating to the new betas. Developers interested in testing their apps against these upcoming software updates are also recommended to install the new beta versions.
