Apple has released today the GM (Golden Master) version of the soon-to-be-released macOS Catalina 10.15 operating system for Macs, a day after releasing the first beta of iOS 13.2 and iPadOS 13.2.

After ten beta versions, the development cycle of the macOS Catalina 10.15 operating system is finally over as Apple seeded today the GM (Golden Master) build to developers via the Apple Developer portal, just a day ahead of the official launch, which should happen on October 4th.

The Golden Master version is identical to the final release of macOS Catalina 10.15, but Apple always gives registered developers 24 hours to prepare their apps for the official launch. If you install the GM build, nothing would change when the final release lands tomorrow.

macOS Catalina 10.15 is expected to introduce several new features and apps, along with many enhancements and updated components. Among these, we can mention the all-new Apple TV, Podcasts, and Apple Music apps, totally redesigned Reminders app, support for iPad apps, and support for using an iPad as a secondary display.

Apple also released the first beta versions of the upcoming iOS 13.2 and iPadOS 13.2 mobile operating systems for iPhone and iPad devices with various new features and enhancements, such as the Deep Fusion camera for the new iPhone 11 smartphones, as well as support for using Siri with third-party messaging apps by default.

Also available for testing is the second beta version of the upcoming watchOS 6.1 operating system for Apple Watch devices. All these new releases, iOS 13.2, iPadOS 13.2, and watchOS 6.1, will probably hit the streets later this fall, most probably along tvOS 13.2 and macOS Catalina 10.15.1.
