14 DAY TRIAL // Just one day after making its debuts in Poland with support for no less than eight banks, Apple's Apple Pay digital payment service launches today for users in Norway.
As of today, Apple Pay is now available in Norway, though it is only supported with credit or debit cards issued by the Nordea Bank and Santander Consumer Finance, for now. Apple customers in Norway will now be able to purchase goods from anywhere where Apple's digital payment service is supported.
To get started with using Apple Pay, Norway iPhone and iPad users would need to make sure the Wallet app is installed on their devices. To add a new credit or debit card, open the Wallet app and follow the on-screen instructions. That's it, you can no leave your wallet home and go shopping only with your iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch.
Apple Pay is coming to more countries soon
Designed to make it easier for iPhone users to purchase goods in stores or online, Apple Pay was first introduced three years ago, on October 20, 2014. It's currently supported on iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch devices, and supports major credit and debit card issuers like MasterCard, Visa, American Express, and UnionPay.
Besides Norway, Apple Pay is currently available in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Russia, United Arab Emirates, Brazil, Hong Kong, Mainland China, Japan, Singapore, Taiwan, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Ireland, France, Monaco, Spain, Italy, Vatican City, Switzerland, Poland, Ukraine, Isle of Man, San Marino, Guernsey, and Jersey.
Apple Pay rapidly expands to new countries and supports new banks or credit unions every month, so we expect to see it available in other regions in the coming months, such as the Czech Republic, as Apple wants to rival the digital payments systems for Android devices, such as Google Pay.
