Apple used today’s spring event to introduce a new green color for the existing iPhone 13 lineup, something that was more or less to be expected given the company also introduced a new color for its flagship products during the spring event.

This time, the iPhone 13 is getting a new green color, while the iPhone 13 Pro will be refreshed with a version called alpine green.

Apple says the alpine green is a state-of-the-art concept, as it uses multiple layers of nanometer-scale metallic ceramics specifically to look good and be super-durable.

Needless to say, the new models are all about the colors, so you won’t be getting any hardware upgrades or anything like that. The technical specifications remain the same as on the rest of the lineup.

Pre-orders start on Friday

“People love the design of iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13, and we’re excited to unveil the stunning new alpine green and green finishes, which join the wide range of beautiful colors on the iPhone 13 lineup,” said Bob Borchers, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing.

“These new colors give customers even more options when choosing their iPhone, and we can’t wait for them to take advantage of all the iPhone 13 lineup offers, including unmatched performance with A15 Bionic, our best camera systems, massive improvements to battery life for everyday needs, fast 5G, incredible durability, and so much more.”

Both new green iPhones will go on pre-order on Friday, while the shipping will kick off on March 18.

The new colors wouldn’t come with any price increase, with the alpine green to be offered on both the iPhone 13 Pro and the iPhone 13 Pro Max. The green version will be available on the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini, all devices coming in the new colors will sport iOS 15.4 as a free software update.
