Hurry up, this is the most anticipated iPhone this year

Apple’s iPhone XR is now available for pre-order, as the Cupertino-based tech company officially kicks off sales of its third and last iPhone model launching this year.

iPhone XR, which has often been described as “the more affordable iPhone,” hits the shelves in the United States with a $749 price tag, so the affordable tag is more or less a subjective tag. The base version of the iPhone XS is sold in the same market for $999, so iPhone XR is some $150 cheaper.

The device is available in six different colors, namely yellow, white, coral, black, blue, and red (PRODUCT RED), being powered by the same A12 Bionic chip as the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max.

It’s available in three storage options, namely 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB, and features a 6.1-inch LCD screen – the more expensive XS siblings come with OLED, and this is one of the biggest differences between them.

iPhone XR also lacks 3D Touch and boasts just a single camera on the back, whereas the more expensive models sport a dual-camera configuration.

Most anticipated 2018 iPhone

Analysts expect iPhone XR to contribute to a potential super-cycle for Apple, generating a substantial number of upgrades for customers who are still using an older iPhone.

At the same time, Apple itself is said to have high expectations from the iPhone XR, as the device accounts for more than half of all orders placed at suppliers. This means more than 50 percent of all 2018 iPhones selling this year could be represented by this more affordable configuration, with pricing said to play a decisive role.

iPhone XR will begin shipping the next Friday on October 26 for customers who pre-order it right now. However, waiting times are likely to increase in the coming hours as Apple could run out of stock if demand is as high as expected.
