Apple has reportedly increased the production of the iPhone 13 Pro and the iPhone 13 Pro Max, with up to 10 million more units to eventually be manufactured.

The whole thing is supposed to happen in the second quarter of the year, Digitimes reports, pretty much because the supply chain is slowly recovering from a new wave of lockdowns and problems caused by the pandemic in China.

Needless to say, Apple has so far remained tight-lipped on everything regarding its production plans, so it’s important to take everything with a pinch of salt for now.

iPhone 14 coming in September

Apple is also giving the finishing touches to a new lineup of iPhones that are projected to be announced in September.

It’s believed Apple is working around the clock specifically to prevent any production problems, as it wants all models to be launched at the same time, with no delay whatsoever.

This year’s generation will include four different models, just like the current lineup, though the versions that will see the daylight are different this year.

Apple will give up on the iPhone mini and will replace it with a 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Max. It will be a larger version of the standard iPhone 14, coming with a display the same size as the one on the Pro Max.

In terms of upgrades, the Pro models will give up on the notch, with Apple to finally embrace a punch-hole design similar to the one on Samsung phones. On the other hand, the standard iPhones will stick with the notch as a differentiating feature between the Pro and the non-Pro models.

Apple has so far remained tight-lipped on the planned changes, but expect more leaks to reach the web as we approach the September launch date.
