Apple is expected to release a new update for iPhone, iPad, and iPod later this week as iOS 13.4, after this new build has been in beta stage for several weeks already.

The Cupertino-based tech giant hasn’t officially announced this new version, but it’s expected to release it as soon as tomorrow.

A screenshot, which has in the meantime proved to be fake, suggested that iOS 13.4 could debut on March 17 with support for AliPay in China. However, the screenshot was only a mockup created by someone in China, although whoever made it also suggested the next iOS update would land on March 17.

iOS 13.4 has been in beta stage for more than a month now, so it makes sense for Apple to push this new build to all production devices across the world.

iOS 14 coming later this year

For example, the first beta of iOS 13.4 landed on February 5 and since then, Apple shipped several other updates to testers. The fifth beta of iOS 13.4 landed last week, alongside a public beta.

iOS 13.4 won’t bring an overwhelming amount of news features, but it will still include welcome improvements, such as iCloud Folder sharing, new Memoji and Animoji, and a new Mail toolbar with a refined design.

But it goes without saying that many are already looking forward to the next iOS update due later this year.

iOS 14 is projected to go live for supported devices in the fall, most likely in September, with an early preview to be presented by Apple itself at the WWDC conference in June. Apple has recently confirmed that WWDC would only take place online, but an iOS 14 demo is still very likely, with the first beta to land shortly after the conference.
