Wozniak says iPhone 13 looks exactly like its predecessor

Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak obviously likes to stay up-to-date with everything released by the Cupertino-based tech giant, but this doesn’t necessarily mean he’s always impressed.

In fact, the newly-announced iPhone 13 is just the living proof in this regard, as Woz got the new model but says the device is nearly the same as its predecessor.

In other words, it’s very hard to tell the differences between the iPhone 12 and the iPhone 13, Wozniak says, explaining that he’s getting new devices if they’re good enough.

“I got the new iPhone; I can’t tell the difference really,” Wozniak has recently been quoted as saying. “The software that’s in it applies to older iPhones, I presume.”

Fastest chip on a smartphone

Apple, on the other hand, claims the iPhone 13, especially the Pro models, come with massive improvements in pretty much all regards, including in terms of performance.

This is because of the new A15 Bionic chip, Apple says, as this is the fastest chip ever created for a smartphone.

“With 5-nanometer technology, A15 Bionic — the fastest chip in a smartphone — features a new 5-core GPU in the Pro lineup that brings the fastest graphics performance in any smartphone, up to 50 percent faster than the leading competition, ideal for video apps, high-performance gaming, and the slate of new camera features. The new 6-core CPU with two new high-performance cores and four new high-efficiency cores, is up to 50 percent faster than the competition and handles demanding tasks smoothly and efficiently,” Apple explains.

Getting an iPhone 13 Pro or Pro Max these days, however, still isn’t easy, as the inventory is still very limited in certain markets across the world. This is because Apple has also been impacted by the global chip shortage, though the company says it’s working around the clock on bringing more units in stores across the world.
