It’s late December, and this is the time Samsung typically starts pushing new Android versions to its devices. And while the Galaxy S20 and Galaxy Note20 already received the update, it now looks like the rollout has also started for the foldable device lineup.

A report from SamMobile reveals that the Galaxy Z Flip 5G is getting the One UI 3.0 update with Android 11 right now, with Switzerland apparently the first country to receive it.

The new firmware version lands as F707BXXU1CTL6 and is available from the phone update section on the foldable device.

The One UI 3.0 rollout

Samsung is apparently working around the clock to make the Android 11 update available to as many devices as possible, despite some of them originally supposed to receive the new version in early 2021.

For example, the Galaxy S20 FE was scheduled to get the One UI 3.0 update in January next year, but the first batch of devices have already received it.

And of course, Samsung continues the rollout of Android 11 as we speak, so if you haven’t received the update just yet, you’d better check in a few days to see if it’s available for you too.

In the meantime, despite the holiday season, there’s a lot that keeps Samsung busy. In addition to the Android 11 rollout, the South Korean company is also preparing the unveiling of the Galaxy S21, the model which this time will see the daylight earlier than usual.

According to people close to the matter, the S21 is due in January, with the announcement to be made on January 14, while the shipping would kick off later the same month. In other words, the next Galaxy S will hit the shelves approximately one month earlier than usual.
