AMD has announced the availability of a new version of its Radeon Crimson Graphics driver, namely 16.1 hotfix, which is the first update delivered by AMD this year. However, the important part is that the package includes a large number of fixes.

Specifically speaking, AMD’s developers have managed to resolve flickering events and corruptions spotted in Fallout 4 and Star Wars: Battlefront titles, as well as when AMD FreeSync is enabled.

In addition to that, various bugs and issues encountered while playing Elite: Dangerous, Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, DiRT Rally, Assassins Creed Syndicate, Just Cause 3, or Fallout 4 are now resolved, along with other problems as highlighted in the Release Notes below.

When it comes to supported OSes, the producer has provided two downloadable executables compatible with Microsoft’s Windows 7, 8.1, and 10 operating systems, one for each 32- and 64-bit variants.

That said, if you consider an upgrade, save the downloadable file appropriate for your system configuration, run it, and follow all instructions displayed on-screen for a complete installation.

Still, make sure that your GPU model is listed as a valid product; otherwise, the installation will fail. Also, once finished, make sure to perform a system reboot to allow all changes to take effect properly.
