After taking the wraps off Alan Wake Remastered early this month, developer Remedy Entertainment announced when we’ll be able to play the game and what are the PC requirements to have it run smoothly.

First off, Alan Wake Remastered will be coming to PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One on October 5, so in less than a month from now.

As far as the minimum specs go, Remedy revealed that PC players will need the following configuration: CPU – Intel i5-3440 or equivalent, GPU – Nvidia GeForce GTX 960 or AM equivalent (2GB VRAM), 8GB RAM or higher, and Windows 10 64-bit.

The list of PC requirements also contains some recommended specs for those who’d like to use higher graphics settings. Here are Alan Wake Remastered recommended specs: CPU – Intel i7-3770 or equivalent, GPU – Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 or AMD equivalent (4GB VRAM), 16GB RAM, and Windows 10 64-bit.

Unfortunately, Alan Wake Remastered doesn’t support newer technologies like ray tracing and HDR, but it will feature DLSS support. According to Remedy, “adding in ray tracing / HDR support was deemed too time-consuming” since the remaster is built on the existing Alan Wake engine and technology.

However, the developers are “confident the game looks great even without ray tracing / HDR support,” so there’s no reason not to pick this one up just because it lacks these graphics enhancements. Apart from DLSS support, Remedy also confirmed that the game will feature Ultra-wide screen support.

For those who plan to play Alan Wake Remastered on the PlayStation 5, Remedy announced the game will include support for Activity Cards and DualSense. Both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X versions of the game will output 4K resolution using temporal upscaling from 1440p at 60fps. Keep in mind though that framerate will be uncapped on PC.
