Revelations is the name of the first Age of Wonders: Planetfall expansion, Paradox announced over the weekend. The expansion launches on November 19 on all platforms – PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, and costs $14.99 / £11.39 / €14.99.

Players who already own the Planetfall Season Pass will get the expansion for free, along with two other expansions that will be released in the coming months. With the Paradox Publisher Weekend live on Steam, the base, Deluxe, and Premium editions of Age of Wonders: Planetfall are getting a 10% discount.

This first expansion allows players to explore deeper into the Planetfall universe, uncovering how the collapse of the Star Union empire has awakened beings from its mysterious past. With the introduction of Heritor Secret Technology, NPCs, and Essence, Revelations is a new chapter for Planetfall that will affect the rise and fall of empires to come,” said Lennart Sas, co-founder of Triumph Studios and Game Director of Age of Wonders: Planetfall.

Revelations brings back the entombed Es'Teq dynasty that relies on ancient technology to reincarnate billions of followers across the galaxy. The Heritor descendants are heavily armed with Entropy weapons that are effective against machines and can awaken ancient Es'Teq minds.

Also, the Revelations expansion introduces a new anomalous site mechanic which enables players to uncover great secrets and encounter unique choices based on each faction or Secret Technology.

Obviously, there will be additional campaign missions that offer over 10 hours of new content across two chapters. A new Heritor secret tech will be added too, along with a Tomb World Scenario and The Forgotten NPC faction.

Developer Triumph Studios also revealed some free content that will be available to all players, such as the ability to take over the new Imperial Defenses, unlocking Operations that boost the combat effectiveness of colonies. Also, the Orbital Relays mechanic that boosts an empire's infrastructure to allow nearly instant unit transportation between sectors will be added for free as well.
