Microsoft has just released yet another update for their Age of Empires: Castle Siege strategy game, on both Windows and Windows Phone platform.

The game received quite a few large updates in the last couple of months, which added lots of new features and gameplay improvements.

Patch 1.13 is supposed to bring another important feature called Wonders. According to developers, these Wonders do not have a specific location, they are not housed in the emperor's land.

Basically, all Wonders can be built by all civilizations, regardless of what the civilization makeup of the alliance is.

However, each alliance can only work towards one wonder at a time, but if the alliance decides to change the wonder they are working on, the progress will be saved for when they decide to come back to that wonder.

To help build Wonders each alliance member must build an embassy

Last but not least, only one wonder can be under construction at a time. Keep in mind that in order to unlock all the powers offered by a Wonder, alliances will need to upgrade it to a higher tier. Boosts can be unlocked just the way Wonders are built.

But, if you want to unlock a boost, you will need to get a momentum from the embassy. Since each Wonder has its own monument, the monuments are used to activate the specific boosts associated with the Wonder.

Three Wonders have been implemented, each with its own powers, Kizhi Pogost, Basilica of San Vitale and Tower of London. You can find more details on patch 1.13 on the developers’ blog.

If you don't have the game yet, you can now download Age of Empires: Castle Siege for Windows Phone for free via Windows Store. The game should be fully compatible with all devices powered by Windows Phone 8.1.
