It looks like Google has just pushed another update for its YouTube application for Android devices. The latest version of YouTube bring a few important new improvements for older devices, as well as for older versions of the operating system.

The most important change added it HD resolution support for devices running Android 2.2 Froyo or Android 2.3 Gingerbread platforms. However, this is seems to be based on screen size and resolution of each device, the folks at Engadget claim.

There's also a slight chance that the update won't show up in the Android Market for some devices, but those who think their device have what it takes to stream videos at HD resolution can get it through other channels as well.

The latest version of YouTube is now available as a free download in the Android Market.
