Xilence, a company that holds a large portfolio of AMD and Intel CPU cooling solutions, has just announced the addition of a new high-performance processor cooler that can dissipate up to 130W of heat and is compatible with a wide variety of CPU sockets.

Dubbed the M608 Pro, this cooler has been optimized in order to occupy as little space as possible inside the case and its height, including the 120mm fan, doesn't surpass 168mm.

In order to achieve this without blocking the space around the CPU socket, Xilence used four elongated copper heatpipes that draw the heat away from the processor and into an aluminum heatsink.

The M608 Pro design is completed by a PWM controller 120mm fan that sits parallel with the surface of the motherboard.

According to the company, this was tuned in order to make the M608 Pro as quiet as possible and its speed varies between 500RPM and 1500RPM which means that the noise level shouldn't go past the 27.6dB mark.

In addition, Xilence's cooling solution also features a top rubber structure that reduces the vibrations produced by the fan while running.

As stated earlier, the M608 Pro can handle processors with a TDP of as high as 130W and its universal retention mechanism is compatible with an wide array of sockets, including Intel's LGA 1366, LGA 1156 and LGA 775 as well as AMD's AM2, AM2+ and AM3/AM3+ motherboards.

Together with the cooler, the retail bundle also includes a special heat conductive paste, probably the Xilence X5, that should be fine for day to day use as far as overclocking isn't a priority.

Retail pricing for this new cooler has been set at 48,90 Euros, which translates into about $69 US.

At this price point users can choose from an impressive list of CPU coolers, so the M608 Pro really must excel in one way or another if it wants to become a top option.
