Microsoft is ready to offer a little more information on the connectivity capabilities of the coming Xbox One home console, and it seems that the device will need to connect to the Internet at least once every 24 hours.

The team working on the platform states in a new Wire post that "Xbox One is designed to verify if system, application or game updates are needed and to see if you have acquired new games, or resold, traded in, or given your game to a friend."

After the 24-hour period, or one hour if logged on a secondary device, players will need to abandon playing their games, although they can still watch movies or play music using the Xbox One.

Microsoft recommends a 1.5 wired Mbps connection in order to get the full experience out of the new console.

Xbox One will be out before the end of 2013.
