The launch schedule for the fall is too crowded, according to the EA executive

Peter Moore, the chief operations officer of Electronic Arts, believes that Microsoft needs to reveal the actual launch date for the Xbox One next-gen console because players need to make plans for the period.

The executive says that never before have two core gaming devices been launched in such a narrow interval.

Moore tells GamesIndustry.biz that, "There’s always been a period of time, a sorbet between consoles, that has cleansed the palate and allowed us to move on. It might be a week, who knows? Microsoft needs to cough up the date."

Sony has already announced that the PlayStation 4 will be available in North America on November 15 and on November 29 in Europe.

Rumors have recently suggested that the Xbox One will be available on November 8, but Microsoft has denied that date and a recent promotion has suggested a launch day set later in the month.
