Finnish mobile phone maker Nokia is reportedly gearing up for the unveiling of a Nokia Lumia 922 smartphone at the Mobile World Congress 2013 in Barcelona next year.

Rumor has it that this device would be set to arrive on shelves in the United States at wireless carrier Verizon, with features similar to those included in the company’s Lumia 920 handset.

However, Nokia is expected to launch Lumia 922 as its next flagship handset, set to hit shelves in the first half of the next year, as soon as AT&T’s exclusivity period on Lumia 920 ends.

This also means that the new device will pack better hardware specifications than the existing smartphone. Unfortunately, no specific details on the matter have been provided as of now. We’ll take this with a grain of salt for now, but stay tuned for more on the matter.
