Redmond-based software giant Microsoft is gearing up for the upcoming launch of Windows Phone 7, and new pieces of info on what the upcoming solution is all about have just emerged courtesy of a video ad for another product from the company, namely Bing.

In all fairness, this does not come as a surprise, since Bing is one of the services that Windows Phone 7 would sport right from the start, though we are surprised in a way by the fact that Microsoft would start pushing out ads for the solution so early.

The company is expected to announce the launch of the first Windows Phone 7 devices sometime in October, most probably during an event held in New York on October 11th.

This means that there are about four weeks left until the OS would be officially brought to the table, though no confirmation on the move emerged for the time being.

Chances are that the software company is indeed readying the launch of Windows Phone 7 in mid-October, one year after the latest flavor of is mobile platform was pushed into the wild, Windows Mobile 6.5.

An announcement regarding the said date might not be too far future, especially with handsets powered by the OS being featured in official ads from the company.

A video ad with the Windows Phone 7 platform emerged into the wild a few weeks ago, but it seems that it might have been only the beginning of what should turn out to be an impressive marking campaign for the new OS version.

This is not something we did not see before, that's for sure, and the most recent example in this direction would be Verizon's ads for the DROID family of devices.

However, little is known so far on the approach Microsoft plans for the marketing of its Windows Phone 7 platform.

Have a look at the video below (available courtesy of mobilitydigest) to see what Bing on Windows Phone 7 can do, and keep an eye on this space for more info on the matter.
