At the time of this article Microsoft continues to offer no official details on the RC development milestone of Windows 7, providing no information on the build string or on the availability deadlines.

Both the 32-bit and 64-bit flavors of the platform have made it onto P2P (peer-to-peer) networks, and the official release from Microsoft is just around the corner. The company will offer Windows 7 RC Build 7100 to the public on May 5, with MSDN and TechNet subscribers scheduled to get the bits a tad earlier (but not at this point in time).
