Developer Infinity Ward and publisher Activision are delivering the first official trailer for the upcoming Call of Duty: Ghosts, after the video game was first officially shown during the reveal event for the Xbox One console.

The team states, "Call of Duty: Ghosts takes the critically-acclaimed franchise into the next generation."

The trailer shows a big attack on the United States, which apparently devastates the country so much that it renders it unable to recover for 10 years.

Ghosts are recruited from the most capable Special Forces soldiers, and it seems that they will use hit and run tactics rather than directly confronting enemy forces.

The game will be launched later during 2013 and will be offered on current-gen consoles, the PC, the PlayStation 4 from Sony, and the Xbox One from Microsoft.
