VueScan, an easy-to-use replacement for the software that usually comes with scanners and that supports most flatbed scanners, printer/scanners, and film scanners, has reached version 9.2.22.
VueScan 9.2.22 is a minor release in the series, as it doesn’t bring any performance improvements for the Linux platform, just small fixes and changes.
Highlights of VueScan 9.2.22:
• Problems with Epson GT-1500, Canon MP280, Canon LiDE 600, and Canon MP810 have been fixed; • Transparency scans now work on Canon MG8100 and MG82; • A problem with duplex scans on HP Officejet Pro 8500 A909g has been corrected; • Support has been added for duplex scanning on HP LaserJet M2727nf; • Support for 10 new Samsung scanners has been implemented.
VueScan provides support for over 1,000 scanners on the Linux system. Not all of them work with all SCSI/USB/Firewire interfaces, but most combinations are known to work.
A complete backlog of modifications, implemented in all the past versions, can be found in the official announcement.
